Students of Yeshiva Gedolah in Melbourne, Australia pose for a year-end group portrait outside their Yeshiva’s building – a magnificent structure which used to belong to the British royal family.

    For Americans anything that looks grand must be ‘royal’ :)

    One of the room’s used to be known as “The Queen’s Room” – it is now the Vaad where shluchim produce the Lamplighter, Sichos etc. Calling it the “Queen’s Room” was a running joke. Obviously someone took it seriously :)

    YG never belonged to the Royal Family! And no, it was never used by them either. *Maybe* a queen once visited, but there’s no record of that either.
