Oholei Torah Mechina Hosts Heartwarming Av u’Ben Program
Oholei Torah’s Mechina division hosted a well attended Av u’Ben morning at their campus at 417 Troy Avenue, bringing fathers and sons together for a program of inspiration and learning.
The day opened with a lavish breakfast enjoyed by fathers and sons, setting a warm and energetic tone for the program. Parents then joined their sons in class, participating in shiur and experiencing firsthand the depth of the learning. The program continued in the zal, where fathers and sons learned together b’chavrusa, filling the room with the sound of lively Torah learning.
Following the learning, fathers and sons viewed a Chanukah Rally of the Rebbe as part of the Connection Point program. The talmidim watched a segment from the rally and answered questions based on it, strengthening their connection to the Rebbe’s words in a meaningful and engaging way.
Rabbi Yisroel Noach Lipsker, a parent in the Mechina division and a respected mashpia in the Mesivta, delivered an inspiring drashah in honor of the yom tov of Yud Tes Kislev. Menahel of Mechina, Rabbi Chaim Yisroel Wilhelm then addressed the group, encouraging the boys to strengthen their ahavas yisroel and to take part in Chanukah mivtzoim with energy and pride.
The program concluded with the entire group davening mincha together. Many parents remarked how uplifting and special the experience was, expressing appreciation for the opportunity to join their sons in yeshiva for such a meaningful program.
