Kinus HaMechanchim 5779 to be Held in Danbury Connecticut

The Merkos Chinuch Office announced today that the 5779 – 2019 Kinus HaMechanchim will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Danbury CT. On Monday and Tuesday 5-6 Tammuz, July 8th and 9th.

This year will be 18th Kinus HaMechanchim and an especially important program is planned.

The Vaad HaKinus, consisting of more than a dozen principals and melamdim from across the country, represent the wide array of Chabad schools has begun planning the Kinus and a series of timely themes is being discussed.

The Kinus is in essence an opportunity for Mechanchim to learn, to share and to explore what works and what’s new in the field of chinuch. They cherish the professionalism and the camaraderie; they are enamored of the fact that for 48 hours they are totally immersed in a world that is totally dedicated to education along with so many of their colleagues. To come away refreshed and invigorated to take on the challenges of their holy work.

The professionalism at the kinus has been applauded by presenters, by the conferees even by the vendors and managers of the hotel. The caliber of the presenters and their presentation is outstanding, the organization and scheduling are carefully crafted and meticulously executed, it is no wonder that requests to be present have begun arriving not only from professionals in America but also from overseas.

Presentations are made by roshei yeshivos and mashpiim and some of the best nationally and internationally renowned professionals in the field. In addition, melamdim and principals are encouraged to explore an idea and its application and write papers for presentation. Some teachers work hard to prepare a presentation about something special they are doing, others come and pose a dilemma or problem for their colleagues to discuss, regardless both come away enriched.

“The Vaad wants to hear the voices and concerns of mechanchim as they plan and strongly encourage all mechanchim to be in touch with their principals or with members of the Vaad if there is an important matter that should be raised,” said Rabbi Nochem Kaplan, Director of the Merkos Chinuch Office.
