CTeen Prepares to Transcend the Tide

As the CTeen International Shabbaton draws closer, chapters from around the world have begun preparing for the momentous and record breaking weekend. The 10th annual CTeen Shabbaton is expected to draw over 2,500 participants. With the help of CTeen HQ, dozens of chapters have begun to prepare for the Shabbaton with parlor meetings, going over the highlights and stand out moments that are to be expected to take place this year.

The packed program will include exclusive tours of New York, Crown Heights, world renowned speakers and uplifting workshops throughout Shabbat, havdalah with Jewish rapper Nissim Black, and a grand banquet at Brooklyn’s Pier 12. Additionally, CTeen is also taking part in the Rebbe’s Torah campaign, and have arranged for each teen to receive their own letter in the Sefer Torah Haklali.

“The most amazing part of the CTeen Shabbaton is meeting my friends from around the world,” shared Danielle York, CTeen leader in S. Monica, California. “These are people who I have known through CTeen, but have never met in person. It’s like one big family reunion!”

Hundreds of CTeen chapters from around the world will begin their travels to Crown Heights on Wednesday, marking the beginning of the largest crowd CTeen has ever hosted. “CTeen Headquarters would like to thank the generous families of Crown Heights,” shared Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman CTeen, “for continuously opening your hearts and your homes for the Shabbaton.”
