Chabad MMA Fighter Killed in Home Invasion

With great sadness and pain we inform you of the murder of Aaron Rajman, 25, a member of Chabad of West Boca Raton, Florida, by a number of unidentified men who broke into his home.

Aaron Rajman rose to fame as one of the world’s only Orthodox-Jewish Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters.

He grew up attending Chabad of West Boca Raton, where he resided with his mother and siblings until his murder at around 10:30pm Monday night.

Police are still trying to determine the cause of the break-in, and whether it was a random robbery gone awry or a targeted attack.

His mother and siblings were not home at the time of the attack.

Rabbi Zalman Bukiet, spiritual leader of Chabad of West Boca Raton, told CrownHeights.info that the news came as a shock to his tight-knit community, as they all knew Aaron as a sensitive, caring and kindhearted soul.

As the community and family reeled from the sudden tragedy, Rabbi Bukiet immediately set about working to ensure that the deceased is brought to a proper Jewish burial. As the family is not well off financially, he set up a fund to help them cover the funeral and burial costs, which can be contributed to by clicking here: www.chabadboca.com/aaronrajmanburialfund.

Aaron is survived by his mother, Lauren, as well as his two brothers and four sisters. He is predeceased by his father, who tragically passed away several years ago due to ill health.

Levaya and Shiva information will be posted when they become available.

  • Just dont understand.

I just cant take “god works in mysterious ways” as an answer here guys. It simply wasnt his time and he was clearly representing G-D and Judaism in the finest way possible.
In the future he could have been a huge roal model to all.
How could god really take him away like that?

Indeed it’s not for you to take that as an answer about someone else’s pain or tragedy; for that you indeed are correct in saying that no answer is acceptable but the immediate coming of Moshiach and the cessation of all human suffering.

God needs role models up there too my dear Mr. Just Don’t Understand.

Perhaps yes God needs a good role model there. But left us with you. You take that role of greatness don’t let his spirit die as his body has. Keep your role model alive. Fill his shoes. Make him proud of you.

God will no doubt give you the strength and ability to do so.

Bless you sir. Be strong find that power in you to conquer.

His way are mysterious only to us. His ways are not random. This is truly a devastating event. He is a role model to me andvhe should be to all other Jews around the world.

Im sorry to read this bad news. What a shame. he seemed like a good kid from the interviews I saw. He definitely made a kiddush hashem which we need more people to do especially after lakewood.

May g-d almighty console his family and may the police solve this right away and bring the killer to justice.

    Halacha 3 here http://www.chabad.org/927678
A person is obligated to recite a blessing over undesirable(bad) occurrences with a positive spirit, in the same manner as he joyfully recites a blessing over desirable occurrences. [This is implied by Deuteronomy 6:5]: “And you shall love God, your Lord… with all your might.” Included in this extra dimension of love that we were commanded [to express] is to acknowledge and praise [God] with happiness even at one’s time of difficulty.

I guess they are called undesirable(bad) for a reason

just like rabbi raksins killers were never caught i highly doubt it that they will catch the killers this time either.
i wouldn,t be surprised to find out that the guys that killed aaron rajman hyd are the same guys that killed rabbi raksin with the same gun.i wouldn,t be surprised to find that out & i am probably right about that.

    • Wild speculations

Can you please elaborate. What makes you think that there was any connection between these two tragedies?
