Boruch Dayan Hoemes: Hadar Jerufi, 8, OBM

With immense pain and deep sadness we inform you of the passing of Chaya Hadar Jerufi OBM, a young girl who galvanized thousands to do good deeds and pray for her recovery, has passed away at the young age of 8 years old.

A campaign of prayers and good deeds in her merit brought Hadar into the heart of thousands, and this morning once again the call went out to increase in prayers at 9:30am, though the tragic news soon followed.

A number of years ago a terrible illness was discovered after she had not been feeling well. Her family, led by her father – a noted and popular singer in Israel, a massive campaign was undertaken in the merit of her recovery.

On Erev Shavout her father Yisrael wrote “it has been over five years that we have been pleading for the recovery of our Hadarush. In the past few days her [health] has deteriorated, the growth is affecting her ability to speak and move. Now more than ever Chaya Hadar needs our prayers! On the holiday of Shavuot [we will] tear open the heavens with prayers for Chaya Hadar bas Nechama Dina for a Refuah Shlaima.”

Hadar is survived by her parents Yisrael and Dina Jerufi, along with her siblings Tehilla, Yossi and Adel.

The Levaya took place Monday morning in Rechovot, Israel.

Her parents are sitting Shiva in their home on Abarbanel Rd 19 in Rechovot Israel.
