Is the Levaya for Yochevet Chein being held in Israel or in NY?

  • a friend

I have known the Cheins for many years. They are wonderful people in every sense. May Hashem send a refuah shleiman ukeroivah to R’Aharon, so he can come back to New York and take care of his children and his community and may Yocheved’s neshama be a melitza yosher for her family and community, who will miss her terribly.

As I inderstand it, one does not take a mes from Eretz Yisroel to be buried elsewhere, so I guess the levaya will be in E”Y

Both Rochel (Raisa) Tzedek-Scheurson and Yocheved Chein were true eshet hails and will be greatly missed in Georgian communities all over the world.
Yocheved always spread happiness and joy around everyone, she was always full of life and energy. She was there for everyone, young or elderly, everyone got her attention and love. It is a great loss for us.
As great as Yoheved was for her community, she was so much more for her family. She was a wonderful wife and mother (R. Aharon and Yoheved’s home was an example of a true loving Jewish home and family).
Pray that R. Aharon have refuah shleima and their chilren merit everything that their mother wished for them.

I was so extremely devastated to hear of this tragedy. Yoched Chein was the most amazing, self less, loving, kind, genorous, humble, charitable women that I have ever met. I am very close to her daughter Nechama Dina, who is as remarkable as her mother. My husband and I went to drop off Mishloach Manot at their house, and were lucky enough to spend the seudah with them. She was always doing so much for other people. As people left, she
handed to them to take home a mishloach manot that they had received. she always had guests and always made so many different kinds of foods. She also always spoke to me in
full blown hebrew, thinking that I understood. I will miss her so much, like every body else who was blessed by Hashem to have known her. May we all say
Tehillim for Rav Aharon Chein, for his full recovery, and may Hashem give the rest of the family zichuk. I love you guys so much. Your pain is like my own pain.
