After Traveling 1 Million Km. RARA Marks 13 Years

Chabad of RARA (Rural and Regional Australia) has recently celebrated its Bar Mitzvah – 13th – year. Since the establishment of the organization by Shaul and Baila Spigler in 2000, over 1,000,000 kilometres have been traveled and over 70 groups of Bochurim have been sent out on RARA.

Chabad of RARA was established to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the Australian Jews living in remote areas and regional cities of Australia, with minimal connection to Yiddishkeit. Currently, RARA has over 3,500 people in over 250 cities of Australia that it deals with on a constant basis.

This Australian winter, 5 Groups of Bochurim will be traveling to the Rural and Regional areas of Australia. Peretz Chein and Dovi Zaetz of New York have recently embarked on their Shlichus. They will be traveling through Western Victoria, South Australia and across the Nullaboor into Perth.

Mendy Simpson of New York and Nochum Labkowski of Israel, will be traveling through Northern Victoria, New South Wales and Southern Queensland. Three other groups of Bochurim will be embarking on similar journeys in the coming weeks.

We wish all the bochurim Hatzlocho Rabbah and Besuros Tovos!

Your an inspiration to us all! A big Yasher Koach to RARA for all their hard work in spreading yiddishkeit to all parts of Australia. Without RARA thousands of yidden would have little connection with Yiddishkeit.

what a beautful accomplishment. Chabad of Rara is what all chabad institutions should be like – no politics, no fan fare, no great riches except the amazing way people in rural and regional australia are affected by you. That is your riches.
Kol Hakavod and may you go from strength to strength
