Judge Who Gave Rubashkin 27 Years Gives Terrorist 5

From Matzav.com:

A Lebanese man in the United States has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison for arranging to send weapons to a Hezbollah member in Lebanon.

According to prosecutors, Fadi Yassine, 43, colluded with others to arrange a shipment of firearms from the Iowa state city of Cedar Rapids to Lebanon to resell them to the Shia militia group, designated as a terrorist organisation in the US.

What makes this short sentence flabbergasting is the judge in the case is none other than the notorious Linda Reade. Reade is infamous for her role in the trial of Sholom Rubashkin.

In that trial, one where the plaintiff was not charged with violent, terror related crimes, the US District Judge saw fit to give a 27 year sentence.

Rubashkin still languishes in prison.

    From the AP press release:

“Fadi Yassine, 43, pleaded guilty in April in U.S. District Court to one count of conspiring to violate the Arms Export Control Act — not having a license to export guns. He was sentenced to 57 months in prison. He was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release following his prison sentence but he likely will be deported because he’s not a U.S. citizen”

IOW, when you plead guilty a judge goes lenient. When you go for broke in a futile attempt to beat an overwhelming rap sheet, including a vicious whisper campaign of slander against the court while the trial is in progress, the judge will likely be inclined to throw the book at you as hard as possible. My bet is that had RSMR pleaded to a lesser charge he would be at home today.

Support SMR while he serves his debt to society but enough already with enabling his obscene defiance. This matter has gone too far into Chillul Hashem/Chillul Lubavitch territory and needs to stop!

What debt did Sholom Mordechai owe? He was framed on far charges.
The judge is a hateful corrupt creature. You must be related to her.

RSMR is not a “shevi” but er zetz sich in “cheder.” Pidyon Shevuyim is not applicable. And the Otisville NY Beis Medrash chapter of Club Fed is not Almaty or Shpalerka.

      More Chillul HaShem!

Apparently the Munkatcher Rebbe told Rubashkin to plead guilty and he would get a lighter sentence (but the Rebbe through igrot told him not to). I think it would be a greater chilul Hashem if he plead guilty. He could never clear his name. Now at least we could say Judge was unfair. Don’t worry it will be venahafoch and this Judge will be thrown in jail. And Rubashkin will be vindicated!😢😊
