A Rabbi once said, if only G-d had put Himself before our eyes and hid the world in a book, life would have been easy. Instead He is in the book and the world is before our eyes… Do you relate to the Rabbi’s lament?

Do your interests and passions stand between you and G-d? Would you like to be spiritually integrated; plugged in the way you are during sublime moments of inspiration?

Would you like your values to drive your choices so that your actions are consistent with your truth?

Would you like to find the moral strength to overcome weakness and indulgence?

Rabbi Lazer Gurkow, Shliach in London, Ontario, is a spiritual guide that audiences can relate to. A sought after thinker and lecturer, his talks on spiritual living combine hands-on mentorship with empowering self help techniques.

Recently, Rabbi Gurkow published Reaching for G-d: The Jewish Book on Self Help, with the hope that it will empower you to make these goals attainable, give you the key to unlock your potential and tap into your vast reservoir of spirit and highlight the treasures of your soul and provide a glimpse of your inner beauty.

Available at Amazon, Reaching for G-d is written for all who wrestle with the vicissitudes of human nature covering the entire gamut of obstacles to holiness including, temptation, addiction, haughtiness and emotional insecurity. Gurkow has a knack for distilling the complex depth of Chassidus in easily understood language that both educates and inspires. In this soft cover book, Rabbi Gurkow helps us embrace our weaknesses rather than fight them and teaches us to transform them into assets in our quest for holiness.

Rabbi Gurkow has authored a curriculum on leadership for the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) that was taught to 50000 students in six continents. A prolific author, he has published more than 600 essays in print and online publications, many of which can be seen at www.innerstream.org. He can be reached at rabbi@innerstream.org.

A true chassidisher yid who is able to articulate his thoughts in a clear and compelling manner is a rarity, but R’ Lazer is exactly that. I’m buying this book as soon as I can.
