“There is a [custom] to do plays and skits, also in the presence of the Rebbes throughout Purim, only here it appears that it crossed all lines”, one of the Askonim involved with Satmar in New York told Shturem.net, “I felt embarrassed at the sight of this skit, and even more so at the people who sat, watched and laughed.”

Note: At the behest of our Mashpiim we removed one of the photos which was in extreme poor taste.

    On Purim in those circles they tend to dress up to imitate and make fun of other Rebbes’s- but this is done generally at private parties but NEVER at the OFFICIAL GATHERING in FRONT OF THE SATMAR REBBE! This is totally uncalled for and a tremendous Chutzpah…!!!

Its always a shliach who helps them out with meals for shabbos. Doesnt matter who it a shliach that has a flag or doesnt. is they help so they better show some apreciation.

    Call a spade a spade we caused this problem. Amazingly whenever many of our shluchuim are corrupt we look the other way and feel bad for them. And then they cry in the name of the rebbe. Look at Faivish Dalfin in FL I heard a rumor he is trying to steal a building from the very same people who brought him in, in the first place and then he has the chutzpa to cry Rebbe oh Rebbe. Sorry its not a rumor look on the Miami Dade clerck of court under simcha connection and Faivish dalfin. If we truly respected out rebbe this wouldn’t be happening. Between meshichistim and rogue shluchim this is what causes this. We ourselves real lubavitchers who respect and rever our rebbe with our heart and soul would never act this way. However, we are at fault because we did not stand up to the Meshichistim in the beginning.

    The Issur against using any Satmar products under the Hechsher of Hisachdus was never removed to this day and remains in full force.

    If anyone thought that perhaps it was time remove the issur, this shows that they are all the same. It’s the S.S.D.D.

    Back in the days when Satmar was at it’s worst and had made fun of the Rebbe publicly on the streets of Satmar, on Purim, the story is known that THE ONE who was the one most responsible for doing it had a terrible accident afterwords and had passed away in a Misa Meshuna not long after.

    If you read the book ‘Hasidic People’ (Jerome Mintz) you will not be surprised by either the actions of these Chassidim nor of their Rebbe. It looks like his abilities do not extend to Ahavas Yisroel – they never have and it is doubtful that they ever will unless he makes some drastic changes.

    All those years ago when our chassidim were attacked in williamsburgh on Tahalucha, the attackers were screaming “ zaay nisht me’tahme unzer gassen mit di Sorbonne”, and a howling mob of Satmar chassidim ran after Reb Nochum Markowitz – mistaking him for Rabbi Groner – screaming “shecht im mit a brocha”; our people really feared for there lives.
    During that whole period they hung a figure, supposed to represent the Rebbe, in effigy and tortured the Rebbetzin with calls at night and all kinds of pranks, the Rebbe referred to this hasassment of the Rebbetzin in a Farbrengen.

    Horav Dworkin then paskened that we couldn’t eat their meat, or anything with their hashgochos. That directive was never removed. Most of our stores still don’t carry Golden Flow and Mehadrin. (Empire Kosher does for some reason.) Most yungeleit with any pretensions to Chassidishkeit still adhere to this directive and certainly would never eat Mehadrin meat, Vineland or any other Satmar shechita.

    Nothing has really cheanged. They are as they were – with the hatred intact, and we still shouldn’t be eating of their hashgochos.

    To some of the posters on this forum who miss the point:

    This is the Rebbe.

    It was done formally in front of all their leadership and thus was officially sanctioned.

    In all our personal, perhaps disparaging comments about others, we never comment on their Rebbeim and never, ever, in a formal, official way.

    It is very simple. This Satmar is opposed to his brother, who truly follows in the ways of Reb Yoilish ZYA. Lubavitch is a side issue; since his brother is very close with many shluchim, this one allows this clown show to go on.

    He is just using Chabad to bash his brother. No reason to pay any attention. His Chassidim don’t even really care.

    …. let me just remind you…with the recent events in Israel etc, we as a Jewish people, are now getting a rude awakening that ‘Am levadad Yishkon’, we are a nation that stand alone. Those who are real friends to Jews are the exceptions, the minority, not the majority.
    Disagree with me if you like, but in the Jewish community, I feel that since the birth of Chabad Chassidism, we have always been the ‘Jews of the Jews’ if you wish, those never well accepted or well liked by the major other groups…. yes, for PR and when they need us etc etc everyone is ‘friends of Chabad’ but lets face the truth, those who are REAL friends, are few and far between… unfortunately. Lets not kid ourselves and stop bringing these people who drop ‘compliments’ to Chabad and a Rebbe story when in a Chabad House (eg. Esther Jungreis etc) to speak for our communities, ignoring their true feelings and lack of real respect towards the Rebbe and Lubavitch.

    I don’t know who these guys are, but as a Lubavitcher who works with Satmarers (like quite a few Lubavitchers today) and has had virtually only positive experiences (like quite a few Lubavitchers today), I know for a fact that the Beirach Moshe once had the same situation at his tish with some clown getting up to make fun of Lubavitch and being told in no uncertain terms to shut up and sit down.

    Also, it’s Purim, so maybe they felt they could get away with it, and, unfortunately, they don’t have the level of kavod for their own Rebbes as we do for ours, so with that attitude, it’s unfortunately no surprise that this sort of thing could happen.

    Mehadrin dairy is or was under the supervision of the Volover Rov, whose son HYD was one of the kedoishei Mumbai. He has no connection at all to any of the hooliganism; he is a family member of Satmar and that is all. We don’t have our own ice cream anyway so Mehadrin is as good as Klein’s.

    Golden Flow is under the CRC and should be avoided. CRC is Williamsburgh Satmar. Monroe has a new hechsher with a palm tree (for Teitelbaum) symbol.

    This is not what satmer rebbi has learned us, that was not his way and in this days there isn’t a closer match than “satmer and chabad” both of them involved in so many mitvass satmer in chasad and chabad in bringing gods kids closer to him,
