Tylenol Use During Pregnancy Tied to Behavior Issues in Kids

Women who take the common pain reliever acetaminophen (brand name Tylenol) during pregnancy may be more likely to have children with behavior problems than those who don’t use the drug, a British study suggests.

Researchers analyzed survey data from about 7,800 mothers and found more than half of them took acetaminophen at some point during pregnancy.

Overall, about 5 percent of their children had behavior problems by age 7. The odds of hyperactivity, conduct issues and emotional problems were all higher among the offspring of women who reported using acetaminophen while pregnant, the study found.

    There is a study which says that breathing during pregnancy increases the risk for behavioral problems, autism, low IQ, and general clumsiness in children. There were zero instances of these issues found in the offspring of women who didn’t breath during their entire pregnancy, while they were widespread among breathing women’s children. The odds for cross-eyed children and offspring with two left feet also increased between 50-100%.

    Just in reading what was posted here I knew I didn’t have to look further. 7,800 is a tiny sample size!!!! That is like saying that salt doesn’t push up blood pressure because if you ate just a few grains it wouldn’t push up your blood pressure. Or like saying that zika is an airborne virus because x amount of people who were near people who had it, actually developed it…..
