Chazan Rabbi Moshe Teleshevsky was born in Russia and reared in the tradition of music after his father – a Lubavitcher Rov and Chazan. At a very early age it became apparent that he had unusual musical talent; at nine he was already accompanying his father on the piano and at eleven he already began to sing at concerts.
In advance of the grand opening of the Menorah Jewish Community Center and Holocaust Museum in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine on October 21, some 300 guests and dignitaries attended a preview of the center’s museum Monday, October 16. A video has recently surfaced which purports to show a previous incident of police brutality at the Aliya Institute, which was filmed by a member of the youth center in early May. The video appears to show officers using justifiable force, contrary to the allegations otherwise.

According to a report from the New York Times, the NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau is investigating two police officers, Luis A. Vega (24891) and Yelena Bruzzese (9139) – both of whom are assigned to the 71st Precinct, following CrownHeights.info’s release of a video showing the two officers brutally attacking Ehud Halevi. Vega has been placed on modified duty, while Bruzzese has not.
