Be prepared, It’s Going to Freeze

NYC has released a weather safety alert for Thursday, warning of freezing temperatures and wind chill in the single digits. Thursday marks Thanksgiving Day, a national holiday that is celebrated each year in NYC with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Bundle up, and put those hats on tonight, as the temperatures are forecasted to drop to freezing. The forecast appears dim for those who enjoy warmth, as the temperature looks to stay cold through Friday, only warming up Saturday with some rain.

The coldest temperatures are forcasted to be felt Wednesday night, with wind chill bringing the feel close to seven degrees Fahrenheit. Thursday day it will warm up to around 28 degrees Fahrenheit, for a hopefully more tolerable feel.

NYC Emergency Management and the Health Department remind all New Yorkers to wear hats, scarves, gloves, and layered clothing. As well as keep fingertips, earlobes, and noses covered, throughout the cold spell
