Betzalel Gallery to Exhibit Photos of the Rebbe

The Betzalel Gallery will be featuring a special exhibit of photos of the Rebbe from Jewish Educational Media’s The Living Archive in honor of Gimmel Tammuz. The Living Archive is a moving image, audio, and photographic archive, documenting the life and times of the Rebbe – Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson of righteous memory.

The exhibit will include photos taken by a number of photographers who diligently documented Farbrengens, Tefilos and dollars. The photos will be available for purchase in a variety of sizes, formats, and framing options.

The exhibit opens on Sunday, June 29 and runs through July 13, 2014, and will be open to the public during normal business hours.

Jewish Educational Media was founded in 1980 as a not-for-profit organization whose purpose was to broadcast, live via satellite, the public addresses of the Rebbe. Today, JEM’s archive contains priceless archival materials, including hundreds of photographs, video, film, and audio recordings, which it strives to make accessible and meaningful to diverse audiences around the world.

The Betzalel Gallery is a new fine art gallery in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. True to its namesake, the Biblical Betzalel, the gallery features art that reflects the richness and warmth of Jewish heritage and tradition and is proud to be partnering with JEM in producing this exhibit.
