Photos: New Trees Planted Along Albany Ave.

A CrownHeights.info reader spotted workers hired by the NYC Dept. of Parks plating new trees along Albany Ave in an attempt to beautify the urban landscape with greenery. The photos were taken near the corner of St. Johns Pl.

    I noticed it too this morning! I don’t think it’s a waste of $$, it’s a way to make this concrete jungle slightly prettier:)

    AGREE, BIG WASTE OF MONEY !!
    BETTER TO KEEP CLEAN THE STREET AND TO DO SOMETHING FOR EFFICACE FOR RATS

    all that the trees do is brake the sidewalk around the tree, it is very dangerous people always trip. The city plants the trees but does not fix the sidewalk whet it lifts or cracks.

    Great to have some new sources of air to breath, some leaves for shade, some green for color. Keep it up! I have seen some new trees on Eastern Parkway as well.

    how new yorkers dont even apreciate the tiny bit of greenery there is here! All of us who come from other places are YEARNING for some fresh greens!!
