Package Thief, Tied To Multiple Open Theft Reports, Arrested Thanks to Crown Heights Shomrim

Another package thief discovered the consequences of his actions Monday morning when he found himself the center of attention, and not the good kind.

“Late this morning, Shomrim received a call about a suspicious male stealing packages.,” Crown Heights Shomrim wrote on social media. “Thanks to a quick response and thorough canvass, our volunteers located the suspect and caught him in the act of taking additional packages—while relaying real-time updates to @NYPD71Pct. Officers responded immediately and made the arrest.”

Images released by Crown Heights Shomrim show the thief in handcuffs and in custody by NYPD officers.

Multiple stolen packages were recovered.

Crown Heights Shomrim thanked their our Operations Team, noting that the suspect was also “charged in connection with several other open theft reports, including an expensive bicycle from a few months ago.”
