Couple Killed in Crown Heights Home Invasion Robbery

A couple was killed Wednesday evening during a reported robbery in progress in their Crown Heights home on Winthrop Street.

Police received a 911 call of a robbery in progress at 263 Winthrop Street, between Nostrand and Rogers Avenues, at around 6:41pm. Upon the officers’ arrival they discovered a 65-year-old man in front of the house suffering from multiple stab wounds, as well as a 59-year-old woman inside the residence also suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The man was rushed to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead, the woman was declared dead at the scene.

The area has been locked down and police have opened an investigation. The suspect was described as a man wearing a mask, who fled the scene and has not been apprehended.

The identity of the victims have not been released pending family notifications.
