Video: Thief Brazenly Steals Packages from Homes

A thief was caught on surveillance video stealing a number of packages off the stairs of a Crown Heights home, located on Carroll Street near Schenectady Ave., after they were left there by the U.S. Postal Service.

The bag into which he stuffs the packages appears to be filled with more packages, presumably stolen from other homes in the area.

  • Don't say they didn't tell us so

When (Place any immigrant country here) sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.

It’s time to take back Crown Heights and then Brooklyn

    Stop letting this go on.

Notice that he is pushing a lawn mower. It seems like this is a guy who is hired to mow lawns. Doesn’t anyone recognize him??!!

    • Lawn mower

Let’s steal his lawn mower when he’s not looking. I’m sure he would appreciate that.

Although he probably stole it in the first place.

Are the police shown these videos? Otherwise what’s the point of surveillance cameras?

  • Hah! Joke's on him!

The only stuff I ordered was a Jewish novel and mouthwash! Hardly worth his trouble!
(But of course, more seriously, it’s still theft, and it still costs the victims money, time, aggravation, and the loss of their sense of security! I hope this guy is nabbed by the authorities and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!
When you steal mail [and the item depicted looks like priority mail via the USPS], there are Federal statutes that have been violated, so the charges will be Federal charges!)

All character traits, even those that are not good, or are even evil in name and description, can be used [as a lesson] in serving G-d according to the Torah.

In this vein, the saintly R. Meshullam Zusya of Hanipoli learned several approaches to Divine service by pondering the work ethic, so to speak, of a thief:

    (a) A thief is modest.
    (b) He is prepared to endanger himself.
    (c) The minutes details are as important to him as greater considerations.
    (d) He labors with great exertion.
    (e) He works quickly.
    (f) He exhibits trust and hope.
    (g) If he fails the first time, he tries again and again.

  • USPS at fault.

The USPS many a time dropped my package off without bothering toring the bell. They sometimes placed my stuff with the recyclings

  • Baya Chait

This thief is a filthbag and must be locked up. Its bad enough to steal from people but to steal from jewish people is worse.

    • ???

Correction – Stealing from ANYONE is wrong..doesn’t matter who the victim is. Be fair…your statement is not.
