2nd Child Arrested in Connection with School Bus Arson

Police have announced the arrest of a second 11-year-old boy in connection with the arson of a school bus outside a Jewish school in Crown Heights earlier this week.

According to jpupdates, the NYPD’s Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce announced the arrest of a second 11-year-old boy in connection with the burning of a school bus outside Beth Rivkah, a Jewish girls school on Sunday evening in Crown Heights.

Police sources said the arrest comes following a tip they had received on the Crime Stoppers tip line.

This is the second arrest made in connection with this incident. The first arrest was an 11-year-old boy, who was charged with Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree as a Hate Crime and Arson in the 4th Degree as a Hate Crime.

Police are still seeking as many as three additional suspects seen in surveillance video using cardboard boxes to set the bus on fire.
