Delivery Person Assaulted on Motzai Shabbos

A delivery worker from a Crown Heights eatery was assaulted Motzai Shabbos on President Street by a group of black men.

The incident occurred at around 10:00pm near the corner of Albany Avenue and President Street. The victim was out delivering food from Sushi Spot on his electric scooter bike when he passed by a group of black men, one of whom shoved him as he passed and another punched him in the head from behind.

The victim called his employer who in turn notified the police, but by them the assailants fled the area.

Hatzalah was called to check out the victim, who thankfully did not sustain any serious injuries. He was treated at the scene and refused to be transported to a hospital.

A police report was filed.
