Crown Heights Man Shot Dead Inside His Apartment
An African-American man was found shot to death inside his Crown Heights apartment yesterday (Monday) morning.
The manโs body was found by a neighbor in the kitchen of his apartment, located on Prospect Place near New York Ave., shortly after 8:00am.
Another neighbor told cops that he heard gunshots sometime during the previous night.
The victim, described as in his mid 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene by FDNY paramedics.
The circumstances of the shooting are unknown at this time and no arrests have been made. The crime is being investigated by detectives from the 77th Precinct.

Why do parents, black, white and yellow, still buy toy guns for their children!
Give them something positive to play with, teach them that guns are BAD except in the hands of cops, soldiers, security personnel.
BANG it into their brains – you don’t run into the street, you don’t play with matches, you don’t steal you don’t do drugs, you DON’T PLAY WITH GUNS!
Then maybe they will grow up with morals instead of guns and these shootings will stop.

You can ban guns and teach that they are bad. But there is such a thing as “A good guy with a gun,” as I’m sure you know.
And the point is very valid that the best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is the presence of a good guy with a gun.
Anyway, even without the actual toy, kids will make a gun shape from their hand (pointed index finger, with thumb up). If the kid doing this is playing that they are a “good guy with a gun,” I personally have no problem with this.
The man this article is about was killed by a bad guy with a gun, not by a good guy with a gun, most probably.
