Maple Street Home Robbed in Broad Daylight

A Jewish home on Maple Street near Schenectady Avenue was robbed today. The robbery occurred in the span of a couple of hours during which the house was left unoccupied.

The incident occurred sometime this afternoon between 12:00pm and 2:15pm, after the homeowner left with her child to run a few errands. The perpetrator(s) kicked in the side door that entered into the kitchen, and later broke into the basement as well.

When the woman came home with her child, she entered the front door not knowing that there had been a robbery.  As she entered the kitchen, she saw that the door had been kicked in and everything was in disarray. She immediately called Shomrim and 911.

Shomrim arrived quickly and searched the home to make sure that the burglar was not still in the house, by which time the cops arrived and began an investigation.

The theif(s) made off with cash, but thankfully left behind electronics, silverware and jewelry.
