CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Residents be warned, after receiving tens of new complaints from Chabad women it seems that the creepy caller, which we first reported about a month ago, is back and up to his same old sick tricks.

‘Creepy Caller’ Continues ‘its’ Sicko Calls

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Residents be warned, after receiving tens of new complaints from Chabad women it seems that the creepy caller, which we first reported about a month ago, is back and up to his same old sick tricks.

Up to his same tricks, the caller uses a not very good voice disguising service, and identifies himself as Chani Cohen from the East Side, and that she got the number from Mrs. Goldstein in Flatbush, and that he needs kallah teacher type information.

One of the women who fell victim to this creep told CrownHeights.info “he had me on the phone for nearly ten minutes” adding that he asked extremely personal and inappropriate questions. The woman added that she had heard from friends and relatives that this caller has not been sleeping the last month, and that he has been calling Montreal Chabad women.

Now he seems to be back to calling Crown Heights women.

Please take caution and never give such information over the phone, if you would like to be polite just forward the caller on to the proper Halacha authorities on such matters. Additionally, Crown Heights Shomrim advised that such calls can and should be reported to the police.

    I got this call a few days ago! Not a very good disguise for a woman’s voice though!
    I just played ‘dumb’ on the phone and made as if I couldn’t hear a word he/she was saying! He was getting very frustrated at me and I loved driving him crazy.
    I just kept saying “huh??” “What?? I can’t hear you!” “What do you want??” “huh??” …..
    Then I hung up!

    I don’t understand what the big deal is and how someone can actually lose sleep over this. This person called me last week from a private number which has me thinking already. I could hardly understand this person, to me it sounds like a young boy, still has a baby voice. When I finally heard that he’s looking for a Kallah teacher, I put the two and two together and remembered what I had read on CrownHeights.info last month and I said, are you the guy making those prank calls, and he said no and he hung up!! Big deal, prank calls have been around for years, nothing to get hung up about, just use your head and watch what you say!!

    I got this call just last week. The person will even speak to you in Hebrew if you can’t understand what they’re saying. I just told them I don’t know what they’re talking about & can’t help them…

    Problem: you can’t block the # ’cause it shows up as “Private Caller” on the Caller ID

    It has to be someone who has access to all phone # as he calls cell numbers, he is obviously a local sicko.

    he probebly gets the numbers from the tsach list it must be a goy who stole one and then is using it to his advantage if any one had there tsach list stolen they should ask the police to look into it a littel moor maby thats what happend

    Dear Crown Heightsers We often had a problem with inapropriate calls but solved it very quickly. Buy yourself a childs whistle and if you feel that you have one of “those” calls, blow it down the phone. The phone will cause the sound to amplify – and the calle ends up with an ear ache.

    He will not phoe you again in a hurry!!

    WHY DO YOU PEOPLE HAVE SUCH A HARD TIME SIMPLY HANGING UP THE PHONE AS SOON AS YOU HEAR A NAME YOU DON’T KNOW. I DO IT ALL THE TIME AND NO ONE HAS THE CHANCE TO PRANK ME, BECAUSE I DON’T GIVE HIM THE CHANCE.

    I got this call a few days ago too!! It came up as verizon wireless 347-563-5537. The person asked me as soon as I said hello, “are u a kallah teacher” right away I remembered the previous articel, I said no who is this… so he said my name is Chani Cohen, do u know who is a kallah teacher , so i relied -“ find out some other way!” and hung up!!! this person is crazy is there a way to trace the call or track the person down?!?

    omggggggg
    this idiot called my mom. he kept her on the phone also about nearly 10 min. he asked her very personal questions and he made my mom pity him becuase he claimed it was in middle of ‘her’ sheva brachos and needed my mother’s assistence as a newly wed. but thank gd my mom didnt fall for it at the end, she just refered him to a rav though he insisted on her own answer…

  • Dial *57 to traice a call

    It happened to my wife today. Yes same number 347-563-5537. He (acting like a shee) said he was maried for 3 days but didn’t … and wanted to know if the followng was alowed…. We called police but since he did not threten and it was only once, they could not right a report.

    I called the phone company and they said to dial *57 to get the phone call traced right after the call. Then call the phone company to have it refered to authorities. When he called again(my wife asked him to call back later because she was buisy, I dialed *57 and am waiting for a responce from the phone company.

    Lets get this creep!

    This Chani Cohen is friending girls on FACEBOOK and i see that many girls are accepting! That’s another place he’s finding your phone number! Delete him!
