Recovery Fundraiser for Chabad of Poway Launched

In response to requests for ways to help coming in from around the world following a shooting attack at a Chabad-Lubavitch synagogue in Poway Cal., that left one dead, three wounded and dozens of traumatized congregants—including many children in attendance at services—Chabad of Poway, Chabad.org and Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters have established a special fund to assist in the community’s recovery from the shooting.

In a statement, Chabad of Poway thanked “all of those who checked in on us here and showed their care and support, as well as local law enforcement,” and noted that “this is an attack on all of us, and we grieve for the family of Lori Gilbert-Kaye who lost her life, and pray for the recovery of Noya Dahan (Age 8), Alon Peretz and Rabbi Yisrael Goldstein who are injured. We appreciate your support during this time of need.”
