The NYPD 71st precinct house, located on the corner of Empire Blvd and New York Ave, held a menorah lighting ceremony and dedication of their first ever public Menorah.

The menorah, which was graciously donated by a community member, was placed outside the precinct house for all to see. The anonymous donation of the menorah was made in honor of Chana bas Avraham.

The lighting ceremony was held in front of the precinct house, and was arranged by Chabad Air. At the event were officers of the 71st precinct, as well as representatives of the Crown Heights community. Remarks were made by Rabbi Shagalow, who presided over the event.

Donuts and coffee and other Chanukah treats were generously sponsored by Kāmin Health – Crown Heights Urgent Care

The dedication ribbon was cut by the 71st precinct community affairs team, with appreciation of their tireless work for the community.
