Bais Chaya Mushka in L.A. Shows Gratitude to Director

It was a surprise birthday party unlike any other at Bais Chaya Mushka in Los Angeles. All of the students lined up early in the yard, donned festive party hats, and waited excitedly for their beloved Director, Rabbi Danny Yiftach, to arrive.

As Rabbi Danny appeared, all of the students rang out a heartfelt “Happy Birthday,” and it was quite a sight to behold. Each class decorated one letter in the word “Thank You” with beautiful cards, and in this way all students were able to show their appreciation for what Rabbi Danny does for their school all year round.

In a special display of gratitude, Chani Rav-Noy, a fifth grade student, read a beautiful poem that she wrote for the occasion on behalf of her class.

The teachers and staff of Bais Chaya Mushka presented Rabbi Danny with a large picture of him receiving a dollar from the Rebbe, and the party ended with cupcakes for the students and a beautiful cake for Rabbi Danny and the staff.

The party was a great way to teach the concept of hakoras hatov and the importance of a birthday, as taught by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, to the students in action. The occasion was also utilized as an opportunity for a Hakhel gathering, by sharing words of prayer, Torah, and Tzedaka.

The outpouring of gratitude and appreciation for Rabbi Danny was very touching for all present.

Happy Birthday, Rabbi Danny!
