Community Pays Tribute to Venerated Chossid

Over 150 members of the Crown Heights community attended a Shloshim gathering last night honoring the memory of Reb Chaim Serebryanski, OBM.

The emcee of the evening was Rabbi Sholom Raichik, Shliach to Maryland and son-in-law of the deceased.

A siyum was made by Rabbi Yossi Serebryansky, Rov in Canarsie, Brooklyn, and eldest son of the niftar.

Rabbi Eli Serebryansky, Shliach in Toronto and son of the niftar, taught Maamar Kol she’Ruach Ha’Briyos from Sefer HaMaamarim-Yiddish, as instructed in Reb Chaim’s Tzava (Will).

A special guest speaker was Reb Yosef Lichtenstein, who spoke on behalf of Reb Faivish Herzog, owner of Kedem, where Reb Chaim was employed.

Present at the event was Rabbi Halberstam, the Tzanz-Gribov Rebbe, who had studied in 770 in the years 1947-48, and was close with the niftar.
