Bibi’s Request: Pray For Me at the Rebbe of Lubavitch

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the eve of the election turned to a well-known Orthodox figure and asked him to pray for him at the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Ohel in New York, Behadrey Haredim reported.

Menachem Gesheid, one of the senior public figures in the Haredi sector, was on a special mission for 24 hours in New York. Gesheid used his stay to come to the Ohel of the Rebbe of Chabad.

During his stay, Gesheid spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu and he asked him to pray for him in the tent of the Rebbe, promising that will keep the land of Israel whole. In the Ohel with Gesheid was Chabadnik journalist, Yossi Elituv.

The Prime Minister also asked Gesheid to write for him a “Pitka”, including his name and his mother’s name, Tzila, and his request.

Netanyahu promised that if he win he will be faithful to Israel.

Netanyahu also mentioned at this opportunity his close relationship with the Lubavitcher Rebbe over the years and said that he feels that it is a great merit that a few hours before the opening of the polling stations, they are  praying for his success in the Ohel of the Rebbe.
