Chabad Girls Academy’s First PTA a Great Success

As a new school in Crown Heights, Chabad Girls Academy had already begun to sprout with success. The faculty and teachers presented their yearly goals for the students at their first PTA, which was held at the Mayan Center where their classes are held daily.

Mrs. Devorah Leah Angyalfi, director of the school, read a beautiful letter from the Rebbe as a brocha for the school’s success.  Following her introduction, the teachers explained their hands-on and personal approach to the Chinuch of the girls.

The goals included meeting the individual needs of each student and making the learning applicable and meaningful.  Each student is assessed to ensure that she reaches her full potential, and any necessary curriculum changes are made.  Most importantly, the atmosphere in school is warm and personal, making each student feel that she is loved and cared for with a Chinuch that is uncompromised.

The parents are very involved and enthusiastic about the school.  Mrs. Sara Korn expressed her confidence in the success of the school, saying, “I feel very grateful to Hashem that my daughter has Chabad Girls Academy at this important stage in her life. I’m watching her grow and mature and it is so comforting to know that she is being educated by women who have such strong hiskashrut to the Rebbe and want very much for her to be inspired about Yiddishkeit”.

Another parent commented, “There is a strong focus at Chabad Girls Academy of instilling Yiddishe and Chassidishe pride in their students.  The girls feel comfortable to ask questions and the staff works with care, sensitivity, creativity, and devotion to provide answers for them which, with Hashem’s help, will guide the girls for the rest of their lives”.

Ending off the evening, Mrs. Dena Gorkin, principal of Bnos Chomesh, shared a variety of tools for communication with teenagers.  The stories and tips she shared were very informative and provided parents with simple and practical ideas to implement in their daily lives.   Everyone walked away determined to create more wholesome relationships with their children.

Chabad Girls Academy is tailored for seventh and eighth grade students who need smaller class sizes, individual attention, and creativity to succeed.   They look forward to a year of growth and success, with the brachos of the Rebbe and the light of Torah to guide them.

I am impressed – my kids are in HS already but CH needs a smaller boutique girls school, and this idea and location was a great move indeed.

I am so grateful to CGA for giving my daughter an incredible excitement to get up each morning and to go to school happily each day. She looks forward to all the interesting lessons which are presented in an unusually creative way and the staff are a wonderful team who deeply care about each student.
    Thank you so much!

  • great job keep it up!

I heard from a couple of the parents that their daughters are blossoming in the small nurturing environment of this school. Kol Hakovod to Devorah Leah Angyalfi for her optimism and vision! Wishing you much success!

  • Beautiful

Our community needs this so much. As a parent of a student who is much younger (5th grade) but would benefit greatly from such an environment, it is encouraging to know that a niche such as this is being filled in our neighborhood.
