Two Fire Trucks Collide In Crown Heights, 11 Firefighters Hurt

Two fire trucks collided in Crown Heights Tuesday night, careening into four cars and injuring eleven firefighters. One firefighter was seriously injured in the accident according to witnesses.

Two fire trucks collided Tuesday evening around 10:00pm at the intersection of Rogers Ave and Crown St.

The accident involved Brooklyn Ladder 113 and Engine 240. The two collided, sending the ladder truck careening onto the sidewalk, hitting 4 vehicles and toppling a light-pole. The light-pole brought down an a second pole that came to rest on top of the engine.

Of the four cars involved in the accident, one had been dragged in between the two Fire trucks, spinning it around and causing extensive damage.

Miraculously, no serious injuries were reported, with only one firefighter sustaining serious injuries according to witnesses. Eleven firefighters were reported hurt in total.
