Drivers! Be more careful! Its better to loose 1 minute of your life than to loose your life in 1 minute! So whats the rush???

As someone who lives on the other side of Eastern Pkwy and crosses the street regularly, I must comment that neighborhood drivers must be more careful when turning onto eastern pkwy. Very often, as I cross the street with my 2 little ones, the dangerous, ‘pushing it too close’ drivers are not goyim or even men, they are mothers like me. Besides the scare, of missing being hit by a 1/2 second – I am newly shocked each time.

Pedestrians have right of way. Please, please – nothing is more important than being safe! If you are already late, 2 more minutes is just 2 more minutes – wait for the next light.

hey that driver was not a hit and run show that he regretted it so no need of cursing ect,

  • c.s.

    be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yalda is a hundred percent right.
thanks 4 coming up with that, yalda.

  • Driver Too

Who’s cursing???? Why, if someone disagrees, does he/she have to get nasty. No one cursed or is angry so far!!

EP mother (?) & Yalda are right. And this is a very nasty junction, cars DO speed to make the light. Having said that I saw a mini van Tues @ 9:00am turn from the service road in front of 770 ON A RED. Nearly hit me as I was about to cross. Hope you’re reading this, Mr. Driver.

As drivers, we should be very careful, especially when the elderly, children, or parents w/ strollers & kids in tow are crossing. Yes, it’s frustrating, especially when we’re in a hurry. But….better late than “the late”. And who wants hitting a pedestrian on their conscience? We need to obey the traffic laws, and leave as much time as we can to get where we’re going.

Thanks to all you careful drivers out there.

nobody is cursing – but there needs to be safety awareness on both ends. The pedestrian has the right of way – IN THE CROSSWALK – which this man did
But how many of you drivers make the the turn slowly and correctly, only to be confronted with bochurim flying across Eastern Parkway in the MIDDLE of the street?!? I am a long time driver, with a good record BA”H, but what I see on the streets is amazing – from drivers and pedestrians – please, take it easy everybody!

Everyone has to be more cearfull when crossing the street!!
Especially on eastern parkway where the cars i flyng!

  • FYI

i have news for you, pedestrians have the right of way EVERYWHERE, not just in the crosswalk, that’s the law.
